The Hedgesville Mat Club (HMC) formally known as “Bears Youth Wrestling” has been supporting youth wrestling since 1988. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization that operates year round to help young athletes learn about the sport of wrestling. This creates an exciting advertisement opportunity for a local business like you. Sponsorships help us budget for many expenses throughout the year including but not limited to purchasing equipment and uniforms, mat and facility maintenance, and paying our local referees and officials (typically high school students getting their first work opportunity). Most importantly it helps us keep this sport affordable for all as well as provide opportunities to low income families. In return we will advertise your company in several ways. These advertisements will be seen by the parents of all wrestlers. Events will include meets and tournaments we host at Hedgesville High School, where we host up to 1600 wrestlers and their families 2-4 times a year. Other events will include sign-up events during Hedgesville Youth Football, training camps, and Hedgesville Heritage Day where it will be seen by hundreds. As well as the Berkeley County Youth Fair, where it will seen by thousands of people every day.
